Sucks to be you right now. Lol. I'd be one broke mothafucka if I had to spend 800 dollars.

I've got the money put aside, and my invoice for last month nearly covers it anyway. It's just a big kick in the pants when that sort of bill shows up, it stresses me out regardless of if I have the money because it makes me worry about the next one and if I'll have enough in the future. I often only work for 9 or so months a year.

Running a business is a constant mindfuck. The worst is the sudden influxes of money, gone immediately. :|

If you own a business or do consulting or contracting work you're responsible for keeping track of your own taxes and at the end of the year you have to pay them in a lump sum.

Now, if you work for someone else as an employee they'll take the taxes out of your paycheck every week and pay them for you (from your wages) so when you file your income tax return you usually owe nothing (or you overpaid and you get a refund), because you've already paid your tax in weekly installments throughout the year with deductions from your paycheck.
