also, the event organisers told the newspaper they'd cancelled it but then held it anyway? weird
furthermore, the student union censured the event and recommended that mcgill admin cancel it (which they didn't)

idk i see that in "larger society" ie mostly online but i've never seen anyone irl do that because they all know that is incorrect and an asshole thing to do
