If there is a heaven and somehow Nexi has some cognizance of the events around him from afar, I hope he doesn't take it too personally. It's simply tragic in a way, I will say retrospectively. His life doesn't seem to have gone well prior to his suicide-by-cop (which is what it categorically appears to have been; I don't buy that he was completely out of it).

It was literally only days after his first "Tranniversary" as well.

I did try to send an email to his transfirebird gmail account literally only a month before the incident, I spoke quite a bit too soon and was pissed off at the lack of a response assuming he was just ignoring me:

"I don't suppose you remember me from Minichan? Our rapport was kind of tense but nevertheless I've actually been somewhat worried about your seeming absence of online presence. I'm not religious, I think that death is just nonexistence. But people can have an afterlife of sorts, in the objects and the memories they leave behind.

Nexus, unfortunately, left a bad impression on a lot of people. And that was fair, she was often very hostile and erratic. But there was good in her too, if you were willing to speak with her and accept her she could be pretty nice. She was passionate about her transitioning, and knew a lot about the subject. I spoke about it with her a lot back in the day. I didn't know her well, really, but at least in the context of our interactions here I saw a thoughtful and passionate person who was battling some personal demons.

In the end her demons won and she had a sad end. Yes you can see her as a crazed, dangerous druggie who killed a dog, but leading up to that there was a much better person.

So, I'd like to remember the good in Nexus, to keep that alive for a bit longer.
