Go for it, if you don't mind the edgy design on the lid, it's actually a decent laptop (and if I remember well, both the lid and palm rest were metal).

A bit shallow keyboard for my liking, but nothing bends and flexes. Godspeed!

What you should really do though is buy a $250 craptop and put $1500 in your 401(k). Present Becky will think you're being stingy, but Future Becky will thank you.

It's a work laptop. I don't think she's paying for it.

You should buy a Ferrari 488 Spider, too, so you can get to court faster.

She should just buy a private jet. It would be even faster, and looks way cooler.

She should just hire a lawyer to do all her lawing for her while she plays RCT all day.

the display looks like it's dual-hinged, which doesn't seem like such a good idea to me, but I'm not a professional stress tester so idk.

14" panel is blegh, but at least it'll be very clear and have a wide viewing angle and awesome color. ips panels are pretty as fuck. the cpu should have plenty of overhead for that 1060 which is a great card too. sata m.2 though, so kinda a waste but i guess they needed room and to shave some weight. you won't get the full benefit from it, but it'll be just as good as any sata ssd. i think that's pretty common for laptops anyway, not sure they cram enough lanes in there for pci-e m.2 speeds. 6gb of ram will probably do you fine, but you might want to know if there's any room to expand that down the road. personally i wouldn't go less than 8 since you're doing some gaming. 16 wouldn't really even be over the top. you'd grow into it.

but i guess you swap these things out every 2 years so maybe you're safe with 6, but if anything i'd bump up the ram just a bit. but that's just me probably.

oh. the fuck. i read that wrong. you did go with 16gb. okay then. well, have fun. looks decent. gigabyte is good shit too atm. i know nothing of their cases but they make good hardware.

so yeah. looks pretty good. probably do everything you'll want it to do for a few years.
