What is so special about Brexit anyway? Can Great Britain even support itself on their own?

> Can Great Britain even support itself on their own?

No, and therein lies the misconception which the EU is desperately trying to propagate. The reality is, there is a big wide world out there, aching to trade with Britain, but which formally couldn't under the terms of their EU 'membership' ('sponsorship', to be more accurate).

No country in this world ever needs to 'support itself', it just needs to do business which serves its own interests and not the interests of an unelected centralised elite. Brexit was a great decision made for the wrong reasons (i.e it was made by people who thought that voting for Brexit would mean their Polish neighbour would be sent back to Warsaw, which would in turn magically lead to a pay-rise for themselves. Morons, in other words).

But if California left the U.S. then they'd die. So how is supporting oneself not important?

On what are you basing this assumption?

> So how is supporting oneself not important?

It is important. Learn to read.

California gets a lot of benefits and aid from the federal government. They also had to request funds to repair the Oroville dam. This doesn't sound like a state that can sustain itself as a country.

Sounds an awful lot like the Czech Republic and Slovakia back when they were Czechoslovakia, doesn't it?
