Upgrade from Vista. Should I? Why?

I've toyed around with it plenty on other PC's, but never any of my own. I'll put it on my laptop since thats what I use 99.9% of the time. I guess I'm just worried it won't run much faster or be much less of a resource hog, formatting your main computer is serious business (at least for me), backing up, reinstalling shit, yadda yadda yadda. It takes hours of precious time. Will it be worth it?

Vista is a piece of shit. Windows 7 is a bit more gentle with resource usage and generally just better

That beautiful new taskbar and Aero Snap, Shake and Peek are some pretty good reasons to upgrade.
