Poor old guy was suffering from alzheimer's. Had no idea where he was, how he'd got there, or where he was from. BBC midlands finally managed to unravel his backstory.

No shit. US hospitals regularly dump mentally ill or elderly patients off on the streets too. They just drive them to a different neighborhood first instead of flying them to a different country.

pretty sure a dude in my neighborhood killed his wife with alzheimer's and got away with it. i think he moved to mexico

she just disappeared one day and a month or two later he was moved out
