Topic: How can I install CCTV cameras?

I wanna install about 10 cameras around my house. I found a "kit" online with cameras, recorder that has a massive HDD, cabling etc. I can afford it, but I can't afford to pay some dickhead electrician to install them. On the other hand, I have absolutely no fucking idea how to do it myself. I suck at DIY basically. So how do I do it?
Unfortunately I do not live in an American house where the walls consist of a couple planks of wood. The walls are brick, insulation and then breeze blocks, presumably I cannot drill through that with a conventional drill? And then are the wires supposed to go around the house and enter at one point into the room with the DVR recorder? Or they are wired into the house and then from there go to the recorder?
It pisses me off that "wireless cameras" even exist, they're not fucking wireless because they need a power source. Why doesn't some genius invent a truly wireless camera which runs off lithium batteries? Is that so fucking difficult?
Help/instructions/information on "easier to install" cameras/whatever appreciated.

1: One step at a time ok - I assume you made a simple error-

You mean to say wireless cameras do not exist, which is not at all true. You know they do because you have seen many many of them in peoples hands taking pics or streaming video as cameras. Built in power source and some have both email via cell or wi-fi
So what you want to do via web is look for the PCB stripped down boards. Just a battery camera chip/lense and wi-fi transmitter. Many are made for hobbyists. People who build robots or a wide variety of projects. That part is very simple.
So once you locate a PCB version - consider buying just one, they are cheep.
Next you need to look up Y-Cam, not the camera part but all that follows. For instance perhaps you do not want a streaming video - A PCB version with the addition of a motion sensor which you may find on the single board described above. Issue would be battery life IF fully streaming video. If you are only going to need the camera to work when someone is near by the motion sensor solves that.
You can also find PCB's with on board recording capability, addressable via the wi-fi connect for download later.

You have a fair amount of Google work to do. Multiple PC Software programs designed to directly interface multiple cameras and be sure THEY include the Wi-Fi set up, which is a real problem IF YOU Fail to buy the right software.
So unless money does not matter - buy one PCB camera and select on PC software program for the camera wi-fi set up and selection process - lots of options on each software choice.
You have left out a very key part of what I or others would need -Application - exactly what are you trying to do? Nor do you need to tell me or others here- It does mean YOU end up doing a lot more web work to find "it yourself.

I'm going to have 10 cameras (colour, with night vision) operating, all of them recording 24 hours a day to a hard-drive. Might add one or two small monitors that stream the cameras activity inside the house, but mostly the purpose will be to record fucking everything (and rotate the footage when the hard-drive fills up so I don't have to do anything). I will probably put the DVR recorder in a laptop safe and bold it to the floor joists.

In my country it is illegal to do potentially dangerous (to other people) stuff like this unless you are qualified. How will you test the installation so that you know it won't kill anyone? Are you going to run an extra circuit for these? If, so you have space in your board for this? Are you going to have to rent or buy tools for this job?

It'd probably be wise to find a handyman to help you out. Installing 10 cameras near professional level would be pretty difficult to accomplish by yourself. Get an estimate, save money, then spend. It'd definitely be worth it if you plan on living there for a long time.
