I used to be a listener to Alan Watt's conspiracy theory slot on RBN (which is a radio network similar to Jeff Rense and others replete with conspiracy theories) in which he would posit that technological and scientific progress is merely a distraction being used to illude oneself away from the real scientifo-technocratic agenda which is laying the framework along a predetermined path for the dystopian world of the future. He isn't wrong, either. His slot died in October 2013 due to a disagreement with the network's main manager, Stadtmiller, and I haven't really listened to RBN regularly since late 2013. All of those sorts of fringe conspiracy networks are slowly dying off due to Alex Jones' monopoly of the market with his disinfo and it's saddening to see. The world I finally politically "grew up" with is falling apart. But yeah, beware of the scientific dictatorship.
