Topic: Save yourself or save 1000 lives?

Which one would you choose? Assuming those 1000 people played no significant value in your life. Just regular civilians. If you choose to save yourself, you'd just walk away with those 1000 lives dead, no one knowing but yourself.| Poll option | Votes | Percentage | Graph |

If I had the courage to do so, I'd save the thousand people. I still don't think I'm morally obligated to do so, though.

I'd save the people without hesitation simply because its the right thing to do, even if no one were ever to know. I think its important do always do whats right, even if costs you.

I'm not sure. If put in that position I'm not sure I'd have the courage to sacrifice myself, but I'd like to say I'd save the 1000 people. I wouldn't hold it against anyone who would say they'd do anything to protect their own life, even if it means not saving the 1000 people. It would be very noble and heroic to save the 1000 people, but not evil to not do so. No one is morally obligated to be a hero, but being a hero is a good thing.

1000 people, If I was presented with a situation where I can save 1000 lives or my own I honestly couldn't be selfish enough to let 1000 people die in my place.

Not to change the subject, but I'm looking at the artwork he did that inspired Alien, and the thing that came out of the alien's mouth was definitely originally a penis. Obviously they changed that for the movie.

OP of the other thread, not sure what I'd do. I wouldn't blame anyone for choosing themselves to live.
