I heard that song Fantastic Man and it sounded so familiar and then I realised it was very like Bowie's Sound and Vision -- is there any background story there I wonder
Also I saw a video of David Byrne covering it and it reminded me of Talking Heads' Speaking in Tongues rhythms which made me figure he must have been following Nigerian music for a long time

sound and vision is one of my fav Bowie songs.
i can totally see what u mean between the three songs. but onyeabor had a unique sound even for Nigerian music. i didn't know D Byrne covered that tho will listen
