I don't necessarily care, I'm just answering your question. It's not as simple as you make out, the same companies which insure (for example) Starbucks against vandalism insure private citizens and small businesses, and so any claims made by one increases the premiums of the other.

I personally wouldn't actually because I don't eat there, but others would, yes. Which would therefore leave them with less money to spend on other consumer items. So you see now how the costs get passed on and influence other areas of industry and commerce.

Still not selling me on why I should care. Prices fluctuate constantly. That is the nature of economics. Cannot afford the new Grand Mac then just get a McDouble with lettuce and Mac sauce. Most of McDonald's clientele is likely working people who stopped by for a fast lunch anyway.

They don't fluctuate, they inflate, and almost always out of synch with pay increases. Things like insurance claims due to vandalism speed up this process. I'm not trying to 'sell' you into caring, I'm just explaining why others would.
