Topic: Diarrhea while constipated sucks.

Anonymous A started this discussion 9 years ago #58,896

Stomach hurt badly nonstop for like 45 minutes because I couldn't release the diarrhea since I was constipated, then it finally started coming out full force. I'm not gonna lie, it looked exactly like peanut butter but it definitely wasn't peanut butter because I HAVENT EATEN PEANUT BUTTER IN YEARS.

Do you happen to have IBS at all? It sounds like a common symptom of IBS.

Severe constipation and diarrhea can happen in severe constipation where loose stools flow out of the sides of the blockage.
If you also have abdominal pain, and/or it's a regular occurrence than I recommend arranging an appointment with your primary physician.

That would suck if it were to be IBS. I know a friend that has it very bad to the point the doctors can't do anything about it and he's suicidal because of it. This was the first time I've felt this way, so hopefully it won't happen again anytime soon.

If it becomes a regular occurrence or you have other GI issues than see a primary physician. If you're constipated for a few days or more, than I do believe that you can buy stool softeners or laxitives over the counter without a prescription (not 100% sure since they've began to be abused by bullemenic teenagers if they changed the class of laxatives. At the least it may provide some relief.

It's probably not IBS, but is mainly a severe case of constipation.

See a physician if the constipation continues and it doesn't pass.

The medication does nothing from what I've heard, so I doubt I'd go get it checked out. My diet is good, so it should heal itself from what I heard. I don't fool with any of the foods that are known to make it worse. @751,690 (Pink !/piNkH96Z2)
