In Chicago. Apparently Speck was a bit of a weirdo who was down on his luck trying to get work on ships after getting his seaman's card. He had apparently been drinking and doing drugs the night he committed his crime, where he was going to perform a routine burglary but instead broke into a nurse dormitory and instead kept his eight victims in one room, led them into another, raped, tortured, and killed them. One girl survived by hiding under a bed when he was away. Apparently later in his life while serving time in prison, he drank and did drugs and some speculate he basically became other people's 'bitch' in order to survive and receive all of the things smuggled in. In later videos where he talked about his crimes he had developed breasts (some speculate that he was taking injections of smuggled in hormones) and danced around wearing panties. He died from a heart attack at 49 and some speculate that it was all of the estrogen he pumped into himself which exponentially sped up his heart attack. Crazy stuff.

I remember the tv interview where he had his shirt off. Sagging man boobs, and at that point I switched channels. Just before that he was bragging about all the sex he was getting. I think the guards turn backs on the drugs, because it keeps the prisoners docile.Spent a few days at San Quentin years ago by invite from Warden.
