This is from a local magazine and when it mentions SRF They are my direct neighbor and by direct I can throw a ball over their very tall fence Costs given re what it takes to keep my back yard vs that article - I wish it were only a paltry $130,000 -Today that buys nada protection here

But for the very enterprising (and wealthy) lot owner, all is not lost. Those with the wherewithal can have their property shored before it's built on. There are two shoring methods most commonly used to secure beach bluffs: one is called "underpinning," where holes are augured horizontally into the cliffside and filled with mesh and concrete, and the other "beam and lagging," in which long I-beams are sunk vertically into the ground and covered with gravel or cement. Both processes are expensive, even more so if the I-beams are left in as opposed to removed once the concrete cures. Sometimes they're left in for added stability, called "permanent shoring."
Either way, "It ain't cheap," says Chris Maize of San Diego Shoring. He estimates that an average two-story beach house costs over $130,000 to shore, an amount that does not include the cost of equipment or the soil removal involved in the process. "You have to be a multimillionaire," he adds. The cost of one $8.5 million house in Carlsbad, Travasos and Gilmer say, was partially due to the expense of shoring."

Ah well on the feeding of fake stories, I R have a little expertise on this one. Spent a few very few years at MCA/Universal studios - not for film nor for music Yet got stuck in a big way in music for a bit - long enough to make a major change for them in that business nor did I have any background in that business - story short version can be seen at TC as topic re who I B?
What I learned/found was for instance - I was with a super star off in London, then see news stand stories about her doing something elsewhere that would get a lot of publicity. So having no clue I asked her about all that with phone call . 'She says, o thats the publicity agent hired by MCA Music to keep my name up in lights nor do I have any control over content'
So its the old - Say whatever about me but please keep saying something. Now as to paying to keep from being prosecuted? Maybe in Chicago or some other corrupt place but California? When a DA comes after you its often a matter of keeping their name up in lights IF they want to run for some office.
I SHOULD not really say that because I have several close friends who are DA assistants City State and Feds including the former DA for Calif who now be Gov. When Brown makes up his mind no amount of money or threats or anything will get him off track.
