Now that you mention it, it looks about as awkward and functional as the Nintendo 64 controller. I'm guessing that the current controller is just a prototype design, and they'll (hopefully) redesign it to improve the functionality of it.

I think the Xbox One controller did beat it. Microsoft took the perfection of the 360 controller and refined it, creating a controller that simply surpasses perfection itself.

Now that no one uses interlaced displays anymore what's the point of specifying that the display is progressive with a p at the end? I mean it's not like anyone's going to confuse it with 1440i.

Maybe they did. It didn't compete very well with the PS4 and Xbox One, from what I've heard. But I think the Switch very much has a chance of bringing them back into it. The combination between a mobile gaming device and a conventional games console does sound promising in theory.
