I hope it's muscular-skeletal pain, which it probably is so then it can be treated with Tylenol.

Pinched nerves are a bitch. I just got over it on my left shoulder.
Entire left arm would hurt, and would have to sleep on that arm just to keep the pain away. Plus, the pins and needles/tingling sensation was really unbearable at times.
The doc will probably prescribe pain pills, muscle relaxers and steroids to deal with it.

It's just the shoulder blade in the right scapula, as well as the 3rd or 4th rib when I breathe in. The pain is annoying, expecially since it hasn't subsided.

Get it checked out. It'll just get worse if you don't.
I ended up missing a week of work because the pain was to bad to do any lifting.

I will, I've just had the pain today upon waking up, so I think it may be muscular-skeletal instead of neurological. If the soreness doesn't go away soon then I will.

We already have a doctor in this thread! @745,569 (The Doctor !7MHPahvoGY)
What do you prescribe for OP's pinched nerve?

My dominant hand is the one that is fucked.

Well that means your dominant hand is no longer the dominant one.

The nerve that serves the pinky is the ulnar, and is the one that when whacked at the elbow, people talk of the funny bone

Yeah it can clear up soon enough or be a really annoying problem for years like I had. There are different places that the nerve can be bothered by different causes, commonly "entrapment". If the problem is at the elbow, there's a common surgury to move it over to let it recover. I found that simply having my elbows bent at night made me wake up with numbness so I had to find sleep postures to make that less likely. Later, I found that turning my neck was stretching something in there somewhere and I could get unpleasant persistent feeling that way.
