Have you tried using your I statements to get your point across? An I statement is "I feel___,when you ___, instead I wish you would __."
I think people would be a lot more receptive and understanding towards I statements.

There are different ideas on origin, but to me it makes most sense as short for golliwog, a character who has the appearence of a negro dandy circa 1870 and the Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls, and has been a common doll figure himself in UK
