Neither. I've been told that I already have feminine mannerisms, such as how I hold my cigarette, so they just sort of come naturally. As a teen then everyone just assumed that I was gay because of the mannerisms before I even knew what being transgender was.

Have you tried just laughing it off? As someone who has had "feminine" mannerisms for my whole life, I find it speaks differently of you when you can take a punch or get seriously hurt and just get back up and dare someone to hurt you more. I tend to be something of a masochist though, so maybe it's easier for some people.
