I use Mobil 1 oil and Mobil 1 filters, and I change it every 1,000 miles along with my air filter. Overkill? Perhaps. But I drive confidently, knowing that at all times I have perfectly clean oil and filter.

That is definitely excessive considering I do mine every 3000 miles, but I also don't drive my car like a notch. I mainly use Mobil1 such as @OP but usually with a K&N filter. Both NASCAR ready.

OP
Dumb as all fuck. Every 1000 is bad bad very bad for environment.
Just use an expensive car wax to allow air flow more better over car which reduces Air Friction
Also who drives a car to the extent added life counts.

It sounds like you aren't changing your oil often enough

I leave it up to the BMW dealership to send me email with notice to change. Most I keep a BMW is around 3 years max. Betting with miles I put on I could go without any oil change but its free at Dealer so what do I care.

Kindly stop destroying engines and change your oil every 1000 miles like a regular car owner.

My Yaris was idling like crap the other day so I figured since I just got it, it may have been awhile since anyone changed the oil out. I decided to go ahead and change the oil. I used Mobile 1 synthentic oil like I was
recommended on here. Anyways, I drain out the oil and noticed it was extremely dark and even after 10 minutes of draining, it was still coming out. I decided to go ahead and flush it to make sure all the bad stuff got out. I
hooked up the hose, ran water through the engine, started it up and was waiting for the water to come out clean (The engine never went above idle so I was told this would be ok). Anyways, About 3 minutes into this, then engine
starts shaking and shuts off. I figured it was all cleaned out so I plugged it up, added the oil and figured I was ready to go. WRONG! The car won't freaking start now. This car has been nothing but trouble for me, I think I am
done with it.

I had my first change at 1,400 miles, when I changed to synthetic. I plan to change from now on every 500 miles, because I am obsessive.

Usually when I drain my oil I rev the engine to get the last few drops out. Flushing it out might be a better idea.

Probably better if you use a clean water. Garden hose water has to many chemicals in it. Bottles of Pierre water or another quality bottled water. Letting the temperature rise until steam forms, will steam clean the inside of the engine.

Bear in mind that (((Syntax)))'s car is capable of reaching any point on the Earth's surface or in near-Earth space in precisely 15 minutes. Its engine probably has different servicing requirements.

Isn’t it rather dangerous to use one’s entire vocabulary in a single sentence?
