Actually I did post a Neon in response to that post, but then the page would not load and I got distracted by Tyranny so I forgot. On my third playthrough, you know! Obsidian weren't wrong when they said they designed this game for multiple playthroughs. It's really a very smashing game. Even the anarchist route, which I expected to be the most boring, is very interesting.Oh yes, the meme war. Son, you cannot step to I, Killer Lettuce, in a meme war! I could hit you with a goddamn filibuster of memes if I wanted to! By memes I mainly mean RWBY reaction pictures, but success despite this narrow focus merely proves my memeosity.

I've really enjoyed it. If you like RPGs with meaningful choices and a deep story, you'll like Tyranny. There can sometimes be lots of reading to go through, but it's worth it and you'll pick up interesting hints about the world and the larger story. And there are very much some interesting questions with the lore to ponder.
You might've heard that the ending is disappointing, but I wouldn't say it's a deal-breaker. It's nothing like in Mass Effect where the ending a huge let-down, more that it leaves things open for a sequel. In classic CRPG style, there are epilogue slides that give most things satisfying conclusions anyway.
Combat and character building are solid. Admittedly, the reviews I've seen rate these areas as lacking somewhat. Perhaps they are, but don't drag the experience down or anything. And I personally had fun building my main character throughout my runs.

Oh yes. If you like Obsidian, then you'll most likely enjoy Tyranny. They're in top form here.
My advice, should you purchase the game, would be to do your first run as a character who isn't far removed from your own values and decision-making. You might be surprised where they end up. My first character certainly went in an interesting direction.
