Topic: Have new Problem and do not like recommended solution - tl;dr warning

Syntax started this discussion 9 years ago #57,849

Recently I had to cut off miles of my daily beach run. I needed to rapidly increase my flexibility for a project of many many months so I can work in a very cramped space - Small shack aka Verizon cell base station as in a couple of Google Pics

So I cut my miles which varies daily and finish them on a treadmill at 24 hour fitness. Its easy to adjust to make it about the same as running on packed sand by jacking up the elevation to 5% yet in trial full runs on the treadmill I do sweat a lot more than on my beach runs. From the roof of that shack I could see a 24 hour fitness sign and said that is the place that can fix my body up to be very flexible and it sure is working wonders.

So I cut the miles and 24 hour fitness has a couple of trainers who understand Yoga is just not for me so they have multiple work a rounds and my flexibility is so much more better but I need it to be a LOT more better long term.

The problem IS I lost weight 10 pounds Exactly That is a very good thing because over the last 3 years I have gained the 10 and in 3 months 10 is now gone just in time for the Holiday parties.

Now what do I do? If I lose two more pounds I am back to the weight I was in the 60's - Its not healthy to be to skinny.

Eating more and I sure am because I find myself eating midnight snacks which has been more unhealthy stuff like Brie cheese and hunks of Cinnamon toast OR a full Salami on Rye sandwich.

Last night 20% of a bag of Trader Joe's Turkey gravy dressing chips

Recommended solution by trainers is to cut back on the miles daily but that means I have to give up my drug addiction on Endorphins and Adrenaline

OK back to work n thanks for not reading my tl;dr

a relatively luxurious problem, as a more likley problem would be excesses of huge mounds of fat, so much fat that it is not safe to have surgery on the stomach in an effort to subdue an appetite equal to that of ten men

no sweat

Have you considered hiring a dietitian? I know an expert french speaking gumbo loving half onion hamburger chef who would love to drizzle some of the finest olive oil on your meals.

Because of familial bad gene re Dads side of family has super high Cholesterol problems and so DID I - That I solved by major diet change to cut the fat and of course the bad fats out of my diet and then many many years ago started daily swims in a lap pool to reach aerobic levels - Chopped my Cholesterol to record low numbers - Jacked my HDL up so high the machines send out a flag warning its out of range but of course that is a programming error.

So I thought I had all the info I needed on how to eat and stay healthy and to really really enjoy what I eat/ate.

Yes in the cents that just in time for the holidays this is the opposite of all prior years because all prior years I have months in advance jacked up my exercise-dancing and more closely watched what I ate to be ready for the usually weight gain I expect after the holiday season. But two more pounds if I were to lose is by the books a danger number if I were to get real sick and needed surgery or such

> gumbo

I will have more to say about Gumbo in a new topic in the next few days - I posted about a problem I had with to much left over SUPER FANTASTIC Turkey gravy - Add that to way to much Turkey left over from the multiple Turkeys I cooked for my party along with renting Peking Ducks - So I have Gumbo plan but need on magic item or the Gumbo will not happen

NOW I am somewhat late for a meeting and I called the meeting and just sent out a hold on I am comming late so the donuts are on me (Qualcomm has a never ending supply of treats - Including beer and Champagne for occasions that require such)

Try eating more complex carbohydrates such as pasta, or bread instead of unhealthy foods which don't do much in terms of nutrition.

Baked potatoes are also a great choice of food. If you want to build muscle then try to eat more protein high-low fat foods such as chicken, fish and the occasional red meat.

@OP

What the fuck do you have against Brie?! It's a wonderful food. I used to live on Brie, Cambozola, and Martinis for months at a time. Oh, and bleu cheese stuffed olives...
