I haven't watched it so I can not comment on it, but the controversy about it is what is wrong with it. The shitstorm that feminists created after AVGN said he wouldn't review it for understandable reasons is what has soured the movie for many. This has nothing to do about men being misogynistic, this is about taking a beloved classic, shitting in it and people trying to use it for their own agenda. The same happened for Total Recall. A great, if somewhat goofy movie which had a boring, shitty remake. If it aint broke, don't fix it. There is no need to remake classics.
