i made tinybbs, kimmo never used that name. first there was anontalk (website, closed source), then there was tiny.4chan.org (website, closed source), then there was tinychan.org (website, source sometimes open), then there was tinybbs (project, open source, created by me), then there was minichan (website, using tinybbs source, created by me and sim), then a lot of drama

It is confusing that the software isn't called minibbs.

He hasn't quite got the full story. Aside from what r04r said, 4chan had lost interest in AT long before AT actually died. It was MC and TC that kept up the trolling and eventually knocked AT out for good.

It's interesting to see more of a "outsider" perspective on Kimmo, though.

The decision to make TinyBBS was because there was no real open source project for Tinychan. So I did that, then Sim came with the idea to "make our own board with blackjack and hookers" and here we are.

Wasn't there an esoteric abandoned kimmo software called TidyBBS that was the prototype before AnT, maybe they confuse it for that.
