I had known him since high school and was just hanging out with him a couple weeks ago. He died on the 30th, two days after his 27th birthday and I didn't even hear about it until today, and it pisses me off that no one told me. He had a two-year-old daughter, and the mother died in child birth. It's kinda fucked up. I haven't even been able to find out how he died. The obituary just says he died suddenly.

Yea I know exactly what you mean. Finding out AFTER THE Fact makes it suck more. One of the downsides of getting older is you end up knowing more people and that means a greater chance of knowing people who die on you. My mom is the last of 18 children which means I have attended far more funeral services then I want too.

You belong to a Ghost finding group....So You could if you wanted to make the friend a subject of a hunt...take that in the spirit it is giving

You know as well as I do that the Ghoul forum has almost nothing to do with actually finding ghosts.
Anyway, I'm actually kind of mad at him, which might sound harsh since he's dead, but he had a shitty lifestyle and some people said he was gonna turn up dead someday. I thought he cleaned up after having a daughter, but the last time I saw him he had no car, no job, and was living out of a motel room. Part of me wishes he was still alive just so I could knock some fucking sense into him and tell him that if he doesn't clean the fuck up he's gonna wind up dead and his daughter's not gonna have a mother or a father. Maybe his death really wasn't his fault, and I'm still going to miss him despite his flaws, but god damn it I wish he wasn't such a fuck up.

No, not really. Not more than I usually do. I wish I had done more to help him. I wish I could have stopped him or saved him. Feels pretty shitty when you're 2 weeks too late. I dunno if it was drugs or suicide or alcohol or a car accident or what. I'd try to get in touch with his parents but I'm guessing it was one of the above and they don't want to talk about it. That's probably why I can't find a cause of death anywhere.
