I want to get back at that bastard who abandoned me in the vault. The most I can do is cripple his head by blowing him up with a missile launcher. He can even survive a direct hit from a Fatman. I want to kill dad.

You can, just disable his essential tag somehow. Either by using the GECK program or some sort of console command.
