I honestly cannot see it dying down just because we ended up getting a Republican house, senate, and president. So how does political correctness continue when I'm sure the right will do all they can to fight it? Hell, aren't Republicans concerned more about their politically correct image? I mean on all of these conservative news networks they worry about someone blurting out racist obscurities.

not really. political correctness isn't really a movement or anything like that, it's merely a call for civility. that's why it breaks down so easily and gains support so easily. most of the time you can just suggest, "wouldn't it be nice if everyone was kinder to one another," and almost no one would disagree. that's how it gains legs. but it's a petty matter, so it gets dropped as soon as we have something real to worry about. this most recent call for civility was kinda weird though, lots of buzz words and talking points and unusual strawman battles, but at least we didn't end up with affirmative action this time (not that i haven't benefited from it, but it's stupid.)
don't really worry about it, reality has a liberal bias but it does take baby steps and can certainly fall back. just give it time. now that doesn't mean people won't experience discrimination as a result of all of this, people probably will, but the pushback will eventually be overwhelming. conservatives make terrible revolutionaries.

So one simply cannot destroy PC because eventually PC will rise and fall again? So it's like the relationship between Raava and Vaatu. One cannot destroy the other one without that one growing from within. Now I'm curious about what will come once PC rises again. Would PC's ultimate goal be a world as depicted in Star Track?
