Topic: The edgy and dark side of what a wealthfare system means

assORted !jJEom8Ii3E started this discussion 9 years ago #57,474

When the government provides wealthfare many people see it as something good, they think this is maybe the highest form a moral society. But they are wrong.

It's great to have wealthfare, it's better than no welfare.

But isn't it very telling that basically in order for the weakest to be taken care of, a government must order the entire society to do it, for example in form of tax?

Without a power demanding it's subjects to help the weak, they would not all get help. Most of them would not.

You can't help but to ask why then does a government help the weak, if everyone in that government is a person and all people need to be ordered to help the weak before they do it..... Then where did the idea come from?

I think the idea came with the realization that that we as humans aren't that great. In realizing we aren't great we finally began to improve because no longer was the goal to bring out the greatness in humanity that never exsisted. Instead the goal was to treat us all like the animals we are. It's the beginning of us increasingly being governed.

So if America is to be made "great" again
It must rely on none humans. A formless entity like a government.

The question is how can we as something alone in the universe, create something to improve us which doesn't rely on humans?

We had a breakthrough with governmental changes but now we are stagnating because all the governments we claim is least able to be corrupted by people only takes us so far because all of them rely on people.

So programs like soup kitchens and homeless shelters don't exist? Because the government forces them to help others? The problem here is money. If it wasn't for money being the primary method of sustaining oneself then we may be able to afford assisting others. But, again, any governing system looks good on paper until you infect it with humans.

I think you may be misunderstanding me. It's not that genuine human kindness doesn't exist, it just doesn't exist enough.

That's the reason government welfare exists. So a government providing welfare is a good thing but the reason they do it is bad, they do it because without a power (like a government) assisting the weak, the weak would be neglected.

I agree with your last two statements. I'm not bashing welfare if that's what you think.

Government welfare exists because of human kindness you retard. People voted for people that wanted to implement welfare.

That's true but why did they have to vote for such a thing? Because it didn't exist to begin with.

If I could vote for someone to force me to become more mature, I would and sure it's great if I could. The reason I would vote for it however is because I know I wouldn't become mature on my own, i would literally need a entire government devoted me becoming mature.

So yeah, they vote for such governments out of kindness. But there is a reason why such a government is needed and it's needed because people don't take care of the weak without a powerful thing such as a government ordering them to.

No, it didn't exist on a national scale because individual people do not have the resources like a government does.

A government only has as much wealth as their subjects do. Besides, even with a government providing wealthfare there are still lots of people with plenty more to spare for the weak but they don't spare those things do they?

Yes, combined. Also an organizational system
> Besides, even with a government providing wealthfare there are still lots of people with plenty more to spare for the weak but they don't spare those things do they?
Yes, they do. Charities exist.

So what would happen without a government welfare system? People would just respond and start helping the weak in equal terms?

I don't really get what you are saying even though I know you have a great point.

Power exists because people must be forced. The same applies to government welfare
