@OP

Did he refuse to sign the affidavit?

Isn't in his best interest, as a financial professional, to vote for the candidate who will snuggle and subsidize the dow jones industrial average to new heights?

...and therefore make vulnerable to sudden and deep "corrections" from time to time. A hundred and so on years ago, it was common for the economy to rise and plunge awufully time and time again, with uncomfortable frequency. By analogy to mechanical principles, components have been added to provide some measure of regulation of operation, over the years. But in the past few decades, some of these components have been dicked with, very unwisely. And anyone who simply votes to his (perceived) best interest without regard to the obvious bad qualities there, is in practical terms, a sociopath.

Yes. Pepsi CEO said she doesn't want the business of Trump supporters and Trump supporters started boycotting them. Took a hit in the profits.

He brought it up in a meeting a couple months ago. It's as much that he's a Trump supporter (though I probably wouldn't have fired him if Hillary had won, because I would have enjoyed his reaction) as it is his odd desire to bring that up with a client. He didn't even connect it to anything like "if Trump wins, which I would support, you can expect x with your taxes..."

@738,473 (Fake anon !ZkUt8arUCU)
Coke

@738,451 (B)
I didn't ask him to sign the affidavit. It wasn't even a normal-person "Oh shit I'm a Republican without a normal candidate to vote for, but I hate Hillary, so I guess I'll vote for Trump." It was actual enthusiastic support for Trump.

@738,474 (dw)
@previous (M)
How so? What's wrong about sharing values with people you choose to work with? He supported a candidate (I can't quite bring myself to calling him president yet) who thinks it's "smart" to avoid paying taxes. I'd rather be honest in my dealings.

Yeah I do agree it's unprofessional to bring that up in a professional setting. I thought you had like looked up his personal Facebook or Twitter or something.

No, I wouldn't have fired him if I found out that way.

I had a dentist back in the '00s who started talking about his support of the Iraq war while he had his fucking dentist tools in my mouth... I could only mumble with cotton in response. He probably thought he won that debate. Fucker.

> I can't quite bring myself to calling him president yet

i'm glad i'm not the only person having an issue with that. i can't bring myself to utter the words. plus technically he's not president yet. in fact, it's questionable whether we should even call him president-elect until after december 19th. at the moment he's the presumed president-elect. and i'm totally fucking splitting hairs here and i don't even care. he's at this exact moment in time and for the immediate future not my president. barack obama is my president. and donald trump is still just a washed up b-celebrity real estate con man. i will continue to enjoy the reality of the situation for the next 17 days.

I actually laughed at the image of that. That's probably why people become dentists. They get to talk and you HAVE to listen and you can't talk back or change the subject because your mouth is wedged open and theres a drill boring into your molar.
