Topic: Has the third amendment of the U.S. constitution ever been infringed upon?

I feel stupid for just learning what it was. It's a pretty short amendment and seems to be well worded.

No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.

I never heard much focus on this amendment so it makes me wonder if it has ever been infringed upon.

Probably sometime back in 1776-1900, otherwise I don't know.

To my knowledge it was infringed upon ony twice, the first time in 1798 and the second in 1823.

Wait, so the decision that it wasn't an infringement came down to semantics that police are not soldiers?
