Depends on what kind of medicine. Overdosing is usually an extremely inefficient way to commit suicide, and you would more likely sustain liver damage then die in the first place.
Most medications, especially those that are prescribed to suicidal people, then you generally have to take more than the bottle for it to be a lethal dose. With an SSRI, then it's more likely for it to give you a massive headache, liver damage and maybe a psychotic episode then to actually kill you.

Drinking Bleach will be more likely to cause burns in the esophagus, than death. If it does cause poisoning, then I can guarantee it will be slow and painful. Not the way you would want to go.

A few glasses of antifreeze should do it. Just remember to get the 100% ethylene glycol kind and not the 50/50 pre-mixed crap or anything else. You can even do it for under $20.

Honestly, I would consider Carbon Monoxide poisoning as a possible option. It's not something that is quick acting, but you'll just get more and more light headed as the carbon monoxide binds to hemoglobin preventing the binding of Oxygen. What it lacks in efficiency it makes up in lack of pain.

I tried that once by burning charcoal and it didn't work. Just made my eyes sore, although I should have used a better sealent than sellotape.

I think the charcoal would release Carbon Dioxide instead of Carbon Monoxide. Carbon Monoxide has frequently been described as an odorless and colorless gas, so I suppose that it wouldn't make your eyes sore. Carbon Dioxide is still toxic in large doses, but they would need to be extremely large.
