when the shit hits the fan, find me here. i'm scouting this location and learning what i can, it's got everything we need and nothing that we don't. we'll be isolated, and protected from the chaos of a crumbling civilization. the only issue i have with this location is that it may not be compatible with radiation fallout. i think the jet stream may be nearby. if so, i'll look for better digs, but, it'll likely be much further away and a more hostile environment. we need to remain far enough south that we'll have manageable weather and sources of food, but also be far enough north that we're effectively isolated.
everyone research this location and make sure there's no reason to avoid it, and i'll scout around for back up locations.

many reasons, the least of which is mexico sucks. it'll also get hotter than it is now and it's pretty miserable. also, there's a lot of people in the south. south america has lots of people. there's also lots of guns in the south. and violence. when the shit hits the fan, you want civilization to collapse and not take you with it. the last thing you want to do is gather in refugee camps around cities with 20 million people in them. it's a great way to die.
but, in the north, the environment creates a natural barrier to all but those who really want to be there. winters will be safe, as long as we're prepared. which means we want to use our guns and bullets to hunt animals, not fight each other till society is dust. the quicker we can get there and start building the better, i'm aiming for right after the winter thaw, head on up there and build a little base for us to use to get started.
once y'all arrive we can start expanding and build a farm and do some blacksmithing. once catherine gets there we can send her hunting and she can start making us some nice furs and leathers. if she's any good, we'll last through the winters just fine. if not, i'm open to some form of punishment for her.

My anthropology instructor keeps making jokes about post-apocalyptic scenarios where if you're weak you become food for his tribe. How would Minichanopolis plan on combating him and his tribe? Also, Tinychania has the Forced Euthanasia Lobby on their side who will most certainly want to wipe us out as part of their plan to establish a New Eden. What is the plan for when they come knocking on our doorstep?

Yes, I think the two-horned variation is called "moose", and I hear they are easier. You just get those horns caught in some low-hanging rope traps and taunt them until they run out of energy before stabbing them to death with long sharp sticks. That's 1-1.5 tons of meat at a go for the tribe!
Unicorn meat is apparently less gamy and sometimes magical. They are harder to catch. Nonetheless, I shall try for the good of the minitribe. I have plans.
