What is the deal with old people and starting things early? They all wake up at like 4am!

I think that they are used to getting up early to feed the chickens or to work putting together munitions on an assembly line

I never celebrated Christmas, but Christmas is generally a great time to work because most of the residents are out with their families and generally you don't have as many people to care for.

Working with residents on hospice services is actually really rewarding, and I don't think about it as just "watching someone die" but helping the family and client learn to deal and accept the death.
Death is just a part of life, but it doesn't need to be something to be feared.

I never got slapped, I have been hit, scratched and bitten, usually while changing or toileting a client.
I have a client at my current job who is a biter (she lunges at you and bites with all your mite and easily breaks the skin.) So we wear these big ass arm pads that are used for training police dogs.
