I've met some cool people there, but I would definitely advise awaiting from becoming more than friends from anyone there. I wish you wouldn't try to kill yourself, I find you amusing.

Should have used NLP to convince her that it was, in fact, in her best interest.

Most of them last 3 days til a week, since deinstitutionalization beginning in the 1970's and with the rising cost of health care, they try to limit the stays to as short as possible and do the rest in outpatient treatment.
However, although 3 days seem to be the average stay, all of my hospitalizations have been over a week with 3 weeks being the record for my longest.

So, what is your psychiatric rap sheet like? What types of facilities have you served your time in? Want to join my Hospital Gang if we ever find ourselves serving time together?

It's not uncommon for voluntary Psychiatric hospitalizations to last that long or even less. Trust me, I've been hospitalized a lot.
Mainly the primary point of acute psychiatric hospitalization is just for stabilization, and the majority of management is done on outpatient care. If it's a brief crisis then you can be out in a day or two.

Kook, if we're ever in the same Psychiatric Hospital then I'll let you join my hospital gang, It's like a prison gang, but more fun and less dangerous.
