Before some of their factions started recruiting, they just made their own people, old school style. But I don't remember a bos base dedicated for such things.
The brotherhood of steel from fallout 4. They didn't recruit people and some of them in different places still don't recruit people, it's a family business. Yet they still have numbers.
So you know, how does that work?

Of is spelt with a small o in acronims so it would be BoS.

The eastern BoS does recruit people. They happily recruit the player just because they assisted and Danse recommended them. The doctor on the Prydwen also has a whole standardised procedure for indicting new recruits, and makes reference to other recruits going through it.
It is likely that the Eatern BoS are in strong control of the Capital Wasteland, and are looked up to by at least some of the people there. So they should have an ample supply of recruits.
The western BoS, on the other hand, does seem to be an isolationist group that hates recruiting outsiders. At least when we last met them in New Vegas.

Right so what I'm wondering is if we don't see that "family" side of BoS because there wasn't time to show it in the games OR like Lorraine said, that maybe somewhere in the ncr, there is a place where they raise their young.

They were squires, who would say "everyone back home is going to be so jealous"
So are they recruits, or did they mean back home at the citadel? Do they just let their soldiers fall in love and go pregnant in the battle field? Is there a BoS daycare?
Do you see the nature of the questions?
