Yeah, I have been struggling through a life of sobriety for the past year, besides a few trips... I haven't been sober since I was 14, thought I would try it out, but man this shit is tough. I'm glad to be off the drink, mostly, sorta, kinda. If I drink again, even a little, it will be full on guzzling vodka in no time. Not gonna do that. :/ But it would be nice to sit outside, watch the stars and get drunk.

For as long as I can take it. Being dependent on drugs isn't good, but damn it sure feels good lol. When is the last time you were sober?

Denial? I dunno what you're implying, I want alcohol AND lots of drugs. I admit that lol, its easy to get funked up, its tough to stay sober. For the first time in over 15 years I'm taking the rough road of sobriety.

I miss that warm feeling of stoned content, I really do. I'll go back to smoking someday, but the fact is I've tried just about every drug out there, partied my ass off in all sorts of places and well... been there done that. What I haven't done is sobriety. I didn't start drinking until a few years ago, never enjoyed it much, but in my case drugs were a gateway to alcohol in a sense. Eventually drugs weren't enough, so throw alcohol in the mix; fuck yeah. Bad move. Alcohol quickly took over...
This is an experiment in sobriety. Its not the most rewarding experience to be sure, but thats not why I'm doing it. In fact its the opposite, sort of a cleansing process if you will.
I guess I didn't wanna go the rest of my life without being sober. I miss it, but I'm also apprehensive about starting up again, I know I will, but not yet. No yet...
This is the most personal I've ever gotten here.

Speaking from relative ignorance, I think it's more constructive to drink every now and then in moderation as opposed to abstinence. That is, unless you've really screwed over your liver and need to quit or absolutely cannot stop yourself after you taste alcohol.
Moderation, by the way, is a drink or two every other day. If you ever start drinking again, I'd advise only buying really nice beers ($8 and up per bottle retail) so you are not so inclined to guzzle them.
Now one important benefit from not drinking ever is the drop in weekly caloric consumption and recovery time if you work out. If you're trying to get into shape, it's probably the best thing you can do for your body.
