this coming from the same people who've complained about it for years. but now they've "done their homework" and decided it's the best thing. just before the election my boss called it the other way, that hillary would lose the popular vote and win the presidency - which was criminal. criminal. but now it's a good thing established for good reason and we need to keep it becuase it's so wonderful.

That sort of robust cognitive dissonance is very important for Trump supporters. They need to be able to agree with every crazy thing Trump says, while also casting anyone or anything that opppses him as evil incarnate.
So Trump says the electoral college is corrupt? It's totally corrupt. Most evil institution ever. Now that it's handed him the victory? Now it's great. A fair and just pillar of democracy. Simple as that.
