Of course. You dip it into the side you want. Spicy or non spicy. It's amazing.

Did you mix & match the different sauces they have for you? That's always my favorite part of hot pots. They tend to feel like too many separate things and not some unified dining experience though so im not a huge fan.

That's a separater in the pot so you can cook somethings for longer and find them easy.
They allow you to create you're own source which I use garlic, coriander and oil. They also have MSG available which is banned in Europe.

According to Wikipedia, untrue.
The European Union classifies it as a food additive permitted in certain foods and subject to quantitative limits.

I can't find evidence either way (which probably indicates it isn't banned here). Though the Wikipedia article mentions that MSG was in the UK in 1991:
"data from the United Kingdom indicates an average intake of 590 mg/day, with extreme users (97.5th percentile consumers) consuming 2330 mg/day." (Rhodes et al. 1991)
I wouldn't have thought this situation would've changed.

Okay, I can prove that MSG isn't banned in the UK!
If it was banned here, then these pork cracklings would not need to specify that they didn't contain MSG, because if it was banned then nothing would have MSG in the first place.
Another mystery solved!

Is monosodium glutamate safe for children?
Children metabolise glutamate in the same way that adults do and monosodium glutamate is safe for children. In fact, human breast milk contains 10 times more glutamate than cow’s milk.

Lots of business trips to China. I also followed a blog by expats from UK USA Australia and they sure share stories - Horror stories.
You can chat with On sometime in TC IRC and he can fill you in about the bait and switch program with meat.
