My SS is a measly $31,668/yr and I think its going up soon by one point something % so it wood take multiple years to cover my Betfair loss

Once got to no the founder a bit but just a bit but do no his very best work friend real well - former office mate
I have great respect for the company for a variety of reasons but as an investor I always felt iffy about anyone trying to go against Intel - Also as an Intel investor over the years but now OUT for one full year and the stock is still at the same price I sold mine for today - Damn I sure did bail at a good time - Used to be a conflict of interest to even discuss cause once upon a time they were a foundry for my most Fav client and so much more to say about Intel but AMD is well damn they made the same dumb mistake Intel made when they failed to notice MOBILE MOBIL MOBILE was kinda the future - both companies stuck in rut re Micorshit support and as you no Microshit anin't done much to good with Mobile

LOL er ya do no Intel gave up on Atom after pouring billions in2 that CPU - Microshit tried and tried with Cell phones and ya no where that is now - Landfills
However Intel has been bugged by my most Fav company in Mobile Qualcomm once a employee and now one damn good client. I resisted working for Qualcomm from the get go even b4 the getgo when it was a prior company and even b4 the prior company - I kept getting offers and kept saying BUT U guys don't do anything I am interested in buttttt If you should ever think about getting into Satellites anything then call me - Took them 4ever and they called and I came running - I still have not shared with them how much I needed to run to them at the time to escape my only Engineering Fail of my life which was my Robotics venture - I suck as a mechanic and Robots need Mechanics
So in full disclosure - Intel so angry at Qualcomm success with CPU's for Mobil and with Atom chip so fail - They have made a CPU x86 that is as low on batteries if IF if IF its tested just soooo LoL
Good enough to grab some business away from Qualcomm from Apple - Just odd how Apple is still waiting for the chips cause in that business you have to be able to supply all that is needed and seems the drain on battery is somewhat an issue but hey Intel just not going to give up on x86 when even Broadcom did and multiple other companies do - Intel just does not want to pay the license fee for the ARM from SoftBank Group. Every Mobile CPU world wide pays the fee and uses ARM instead of x86
And that is why I look at your AMD and say hummmmmmm like if they are up against Intel for Graphic chips and CPU's and CPU market is for servers not Mobile cause desktop ain't the future so much then does AMD have a clue what Intel is about to do re new technology to interconnect non copper wire chip to chip

No one is talking about Atoms, we're talking about mobile Kaby Lake iGeneration processors in phones powering a new age of computing. They go as low as 4W.
Qualcomm and ARM will be obsolete in the mobile market within 5 years.
As for AMD, if you already don't believe in their CPU business, graphics is here to stay. With taking a complete opposite approach than nVidia (open source everything vs. proprietary gimping bullshit and planned obsolesce) that alone will make a huge impact on their stock price. Not to mention they are in ALL current and next gen consoles, besides the gimmick called Nintendo Switch.
As for the CPU division, prepare for AMD completely raping the server market (biggest market, biggest profit margins) with 32+ core Zen processors. Intel will be once again dominated in the server market.
All in all, good times to have AMD shares. Wish I wasn't so poor back then when they were $2, would have bought a lot more.

I have a lot of respect for Intel but Intel does often get it wrong - In the past it has had so much of the market place it could afford to get a few things very wrong but Kaby Lake AIN'T anything special at all.
Its the very same 14 nanometer chip as the prior chip versions and the very same exact architecture. I wood have to dig into the innards to figure out just what the sales pitch is but its not enough to cause a blip on the stock market. Yep I may be Engineer Geek but I also use Investment blips to move me to really investigate - The little I do no about that chip comes from sitting in a conference at Q and it was after they had tested the chip and compared notes with another competitor - So all I can repeat is what I heard and that is from people working in labs that tested the chip - opened it up - Hit it with a microscope and compared it to prior versions
And that is the chip that was supposed to supply Apple but alas they cannot for some reason supply them consistent at the low power they are spec to meet consistently
To be fair Qualcomm had the same problem sorta of two years ago with a Snapdragon that was power efficient as the cutting edge ARM Chip but ran to hot for the customers package. Other customers just re-arranged the package to distribute the heat and Apple has no problem with it so they continue to use it -
Now to be fair about AMD - Its not like they followed Intel at every turn because in the past they sure tried and to a point have impressed me - As Engineer but as Investor just to much money spent to get others to use the CPU in desktops while the market was going 90% mobile and the most recent thing AMD did to disappoint me - Unlike Intel AMD decided to license ARM but instead of spending R&D to get it into the HUGE Mobile Market they chose to try and get Server companies to use it instead of x86 Conventional - I think that is a HUGE mistake giving Intel cannot afford to lose that market which puts AMD directly in competition with not only Intel it puts them up against the x86 configured for Floating Point aka GPU market and adds NVIDIA as competitor not that this is the first time AMD has attempted to compete but geeeseee - and last I looked AMD is not getting inroads into GPU where they are finding a HUGE place in the Cloud Server Markets - That is Intel and NVIDIA -
Now this is NOT my area of expertise. I keep close tabs as investor and of course very close tabs on ARM related to Snapdragon cause well I end up running down one of 32 buildings a few times a week where mass of zillion people I deal with also deal with Snapdragons daily.
I also find myself jammed up with what I cannot even discuss cause SEC keeps making me sign a form for this and that and that and well Qualcomm just doubled in size or so and all I can say is that for now that is LoL

All of my Microsoft shares are sitting at Harvard Med at the price I got them for which was near zilch and mass of shares gifted by Qualcomm re a joint venture - Same for Google - Back when Google started Qualcomm helped them out with money and other help - I was one of many that gave them the other help albeit in my opinion my help amounted to zilch cause I could not get Google people to give me good feedback to proceed to next steps so I just did the next step on my own - But I did get paid by Q and got a lot of founders Google stock that at the time I shrugged my shoulders and said big deal -

My work re billing is almost done for nite and I never use net unless I can include it with billing a client so yes indeed this kind of discussion is fun. I have made a few huge errors over my work experience and I mean HUGE - So I do get it wrong on occasion - I am upfront about what they are like my Robotics venture or when I was in a meeting and someone proposed guiding a missile with a wire to control it and I broke out in laffter in that meeting - Turned out to be one of Hughes Corp best products. - I got the last laff when the wire was no longer necessary
Also I have missed several stocks re timing - however that is true of most investors
