I went to an interview today, and nailed it! But the funny thing is, the DON warned me that they had one resident who yelled, and one who sometimes slapped people. I was like like "You only have one of each"?! I was constantly surrounded by yelling people and getting beat at my old retirement home. So this place seems like heaven.

Why haven't you gone back to school and upgraded? LPNs and RNs make bank, alternatively if there is a VA in your area they really hook up employees, you may start with lower pay, but after few years you get good money, excellent over-time pay and sweet vacation packages.

I had to end my schooling to take care of my dying grandmother, then Aunt. That lasted a long time, then I had a hot mess girlfriend I had to corral. Now I'm saving so that I can go back to school.

When the dust settles on that make every effort to get a job in a Federal hospital (VA hospital). I have a few family members who work for the Federal government, and they make bank compared to what they would make anywhere else. On top of making more money they get triple pay for working holidays and they get SIX weeks PAID vacation every year. In the healthcare field its tough to beat a Federal gig.
