I only knew based on this thread! He is a bald hipster who does album reviews on YouTube.
Hammy is currently mired in envy cause he's not bald or skinny or mildly famous among insufferable fags.

He's by far the best reviewer on Youtube. Articulate, passionate and knowledgeable. A welcome counterweight to all the garbling retards who make reviews beginning with "Ok, so, you guys, I decided to make a review video, and like, oh my God, I literally don't know where to begin, I mean, literally, I have no words you guys, it's like, literally, I don't even know what to say about this album, literally, it's like, oh my God..."
Why the fuck do people with no thoughts and no ability to express themselves make review videos?

Cows do not exist in the wild. What we know of as "cows" do not exist in the natural environment. They were created from millennia of selective breeding.

He makes quite a lot of money out of it. His Youtube income alone is higher than 30-year music journo people like Dave Ling or Mick Wall get for writing for Classic Rock magazine. Internet journalism has replaced print media, and so people who have an engaging and articulate style will reach far more people than people (like Ling for example) who can only write very well, in this new era where people listen and watch far more than they read.
Consider this - Fantano used to work in a pizza restaurant as a cook. Now he's probably the most respected music reviewer in the world, and he makes serious coin doing it. I'm happy for him.

No he isn't what? Everything I wrote? Because sorry to break it to you sweet pea but, yeah, he kinda is. Even Classic Rock ran an article on him about how he's changed music journalism.
So, sorry, I don't know why he makes you rage so much, but he is a great reviewer.

i personally am fairly unlikely to listen to any music without someone recommending it to me, i think there's probably a lot of people like that. i do agree they have less practical use than a video game review or something though

You said he is the single most respected music reviewer in the world. It's nice that you read an article in an obscure magazine no one reads, but that doesn't actually justify any statement you feel like pulling out of your pseudo educated ass.

It has the circulation of a mid town newspaper in the 90s. You might as well be using the Des Moines Register as an authority you fucking goof.
Metæ replied with this 10 years ago, 4 minutes later, 3 hours after the original post[^][v]#731,504

Yeah but the Des Moines Register is daily, not monthly so you have to multiply by 30x if you want to compare to a monthly magazine thanks.

You immediately ran to Wikipedia and quoted a current, far lower circulation figure.
Being a goof is one thing, but not taking vast changes in the media landscape into account while making douchy arguments about vast changes in the media landscape is quite another.
