That resembles this thing i heard that can happen to some people during sex, they lose the fantasy support and suddenly they wonder why they are moving in this repetitive way. Maybe you just need to try and immerse yourself better, like with imagination.
But it's still just basically strapping ugly metal on your body, with gaps between your limbs. It's a wannabe power armor, it's a poor man's power armor- a "power armor" for those lacking manliness or caps.
