Topic: Help! I turn gay whenever I take Adderall/Vyvanse.
Anonymous A started this discussion 10 years ago#56,532
I'm having a bit of an existential crisis. I'm in school, and the past few months I've occasionally taken an adderal or vyvanse pill to try to get work done. The problem is, each time I've taken it, I've gotten 0 work done and instead obsessively searched gay porn and even went so far as to make a Fetlife profile to try to meet people. This binge would go on for almost 24 hrs, I literally won't sleep and will just stay on my computer looking up gay porn. All interest in straight porn is gone, and I just want to do gay things, have gay thoughts.
But once the drug wears off, I go back to normal and feel very disturbed for what I'd done. I'm back to liking girls, and only girls again. The problem is, I feel like I want to keep taking these drugs because the high was so amazing, even if I did weird things on it. So what's going on? Am I gay and just not able to realize it? Seriously conflicted, any help is much appreciated.
Nostalgia, as proposed by the Surgeon General of the United States of America, with one leader or another can help make you switch. Be it your father or you mother.

Given that, on the neurological level and in terms of its effects on functioning, estrogen and amphetamine are basically analogues of each other, yes, it will do that.
Embrace the gay. You must've had it in you on some level for it to have been so unleashed: otherwise, why on Earth would it be there? Substance state-dependencies are only unleashing latent states. Ergo, if you pop a dopamine agonist and crave cock, chances are, off the dopamine agonist you'll probably still crave cock on a subconscious level.
I'm a personal adherent to the idea that bisexuality on some level in everyone is quite normal, and not to an equilateral division. Hence, wherever that leans is what we call our default sexuality.

It's not that weird. You're simply less attracted to men than women. Stims lower that threshold to the point you get consciously aware of it.
