It cracked open as I was eating one of those strange American candies (the name eludes me; it has a yellow nougat which is vaguely banana flavoured) and trying to wash it out of the already preexisting crater of that tooth. I held it between my thumb and index finger for just a few seconds to examine it more closely and noticed that there was a dark-brownish tinge to what must've been the root of the abcess, which would explain why I'd ceased feeling much of anything there. That infection could've since spread anywhere, which may explain some recent cognitive distortions: funkytown did suspect an encephalitis-type complication and explained to me how it could've been an underlying reason for many of my problems years ago. (Not too unrecently). Perhaps?
