The fact that you know you're buying a machine made specifically for gaming and streaming services makes one feel good about leisure time. Where as the feeling of owning / purchasing an all purpose PC can make one feel elite over the rest. There is a more spiritual and soul soothing feeling knowing you own a computer that has been satisfying people's cravings for interactive stimulation since the original Nintendo console. Are consoles nowadays worth it for the Average Joe or Jane? Absolutely. Should just get a PC before a console? Of course. They'll still have the luxury of playing the latest multi-platform games while they save up for that console. In other words, PC is still better, bitches.
