It is the third largest city in the state, by area. It was supposed to be a city that would one day rival that of Los Angeles, but now the population is only around 14,120 as of the 2010 census.

If only I had the time to tell the full story which wood be tl;dr and drive ninjj up the wall and pull whatever that fairy has left for hair out.

So once many years ago for a short VP stint for an electronics company we had a Marketing Manager who hired a Limo to take all the Execs of the small company to California City. He bought a huge amount of the soon to be developed land and then bought houses n houses and got his Real Estate License and he tried to talk us in2 dumping our Cold Hard Cash in2 that horrid city.

We all except ONE said HELL NO - Eddy poor Eddy the head of Graphics Design - He mortgaged his house took all of his bonus's which were huge in that company and got loans of future bonus's and took out a mass of credit cards and maxed them out in order to buy to his total limit.

Eddy one very smart but Obstinate Japanese man - Now owns a picture framing shop in San Fernando valley.

Cathy we never even looked at water as an issue. Just looked at where it was - and said Y wood anyone live here? Could see lots of old ready to die people who live in Trailer Parks and need a church they can walk2 in walker.
