Topic: Mr Robot Season 2 is over and I'm waiting on my next favourite series

Well, until The Expanse S2 starts in a couple months anyway. I've been waiting a long ass time for that to come out.

In the meantime Westworld is pretty cool, I'll be watching the shit out of the second episode.

It's really good! Cool twists, awesome character development, season 3 should be grate. There's some really well written story arcs that tie back to season 1, crazy shit going on, crazy shit coming up, I love it.

You should watch it

My brother and I watched season one of The Expanse the past two nights. Cool show, but I feel like it may go over my head a bit yet I can follow Game of Thrones.

nah, the expanse is actually very straight forward. it plays out in part like a noir detective story, but the plot isn't impenetrable. it's meant to have some mystery to it, but everything ends up being explained. but like game of thrones it is serialized, so each season will inform on the next and episodes build on each other to tell a longer story arc.

some things they don't really explain in the show as well as the book are the technobabble related stuff. "flying tea-kettle" is a term used in both, but it's only explained in the books as using steam based maneuvering thrusters rather than using the primary engine. main engines are nuclear and exhaust a fuck load of radiation, so when that's a concern they fly tea kettle so they don't cook anyone. that's about the only kind of stuff that would go over you head because the show glosses over some of the finer details in the novels. but other than sometimes not knowing a term or knowing all the background you really don't miss much. and you gain a few really cool scenes like the "donkey balls" scene later in the season.

anyway, awesome show

Yeah I dig it. A year long wait on a cliff hanger and I haven't looked ahead or googled and tried to avoid spoilers. I'll probably watch the first series over again just before S2 is released
