This guy called slavoj zizek is doing great things, he isn't advocating for communism or fascism but instead showing people how deeply ideology is involved in our lives and how the ruling ideologies are failing to address serious problems of our age. He advocates we invent a whole new ideology.
This is good but there is a fatal flaw, ideology starts at home but zizek would have us believe we ought to begin with theories and thoughts that are aimed at benefiting society but this is misleading. A new ideology must first benefit the individual rather than society, it's only by individual appeal that such a ideology has a chance of spreading. So the message should be, form your ideology according to your own needs, rather than societies need.
No, rather that zizek misleads you in the beginning, having you concerned with benefiting society. But the catch is, society is made out of individuals, so instead you should be forming a ideology that benefits you, the individual.

I like your approach. He is more like a guide, he tells you how the game works, this is that and that is actually this etc... But he is not so innocent, in his explaining of the game he tells the truth (society needs a new ideology) but since you spent so much time with him, you rely on him to much, you think the game itself used him to tell the truth but it was only half of the truth. He never told you about shortcuts, easter eggs or bonus levels, he didn't even hint at cheats.

Haha, okay, that was actually quite a clever analogy.
Video game helper NPCs are like that, and I guess a philosopher could be too.

So true. A npc can definitely give you the wrong impression if the game designers wanted it.

Sure thing. That's been a clever trick in games. The Metal Gear series is very fond of doing that, did instance.
But I was thinking more generally. Like how, your NPC guide isn't going to outright tell you the game's secrets or easter eggs. The player has to be creative and think for themselves to get that stuff. I thought it was a clever mataphor for how, if you rigidly stick to one thinker, you'll miss out on things that give you the fullest experience.
