Does anybody have the bad habit of knowing a word for years without saying it, so when you discover that you learned to pronounce it wrong it is ingrained in your mind?
I learned to pronounce deus ex machina as "doo ex machina" and that's the way I keep hearing it in my reading voice

Statistics
This is the one and only word I get wrong 100% of the time when I say that word. My only way around that is to carry in my wallet the phonetic version if I have to use the word before a group of people. I don't give a shit if its just one or two people - Took me most of my life to give a flying fuck at all if I get it rong
