Men and women are very different biologically but the only difference between white women and black women is superficial stuff like melanin and hair texture. Transracialism is also problematic because different racial groups have oppressed each other throughout history. OK a couple of problems
'transracial' hasn't really been used in this way until really recently. afaik this hasn't been an issue until recently as id politics have peaked in stupidity. transethnic is (was) typically used to describe a person who was raised outside of their birth culture like a black adoptee in a white family. the idea that someone can manufacture a racial/ethnic identity other than their own is completely absurd. to adopt someones culture to that degree - in the context of a white american adopting the persona of a black american - is just appropriative and offensive. race isnt real, but black culture is, and when dolezal decided to present as black, work with her local NAACP chapter and assert her voice as a black one, she was wrong. the only cause for someone to identify as 'transracial' in the way you guys are now using it that I can think of is a really deep seated and delusional form of self hatred. you're right to say that race 'isnt real' like biological sex (but biological sex is still ambiguous. kook has the brain of a penis person) but the effects of race are real and you've neglected to differentiate sex from gender. I'm all for people navigating their gender identity. im not for discussions on trans issues that operate within the gender binary and focus on whether or not a person can pass as the 'opposite' sex.
additionally I think a lot of what cait Jenner does is problematic for some of the same reasons that the dolezal bullshit was. the Jenner thing deserves more leniency only because she - dont care what your opinion is here - is and always has been a woman. but a woman who lived most of her life as a white male athlete, but she's a woman. she'll fuck up, because she has navigated until now with privileges that other women havent been afforded. dolezal gets to maintain her privilege while speaking over black voices. her identity was elective and illegitimate, trans identities aren't. you're making me compare apples to oranges here buddy.

discussing this with someone who has different ideas on gender than you do makes it even harder
